I am excited to be collaborating with producer Ana Dry on my edgy, zeit-geisty dark comedy/drama about pornography, desire and laundry Canis, f. We decided its previous title (Marital Bed) was not reflective of the radical (also common sense, honest) ideas in the play. The brilliant Julia Taudevin is on board as director and we are applying for funding for a run next year.
I recently spent a day wrapping my tongue around some very academic but satisfying sentences to record the Neurodiversity addition to the fantastic Theatre &... series. It was great to learn so much about my brain and the brains in my family, and of course advocate for the acceptance and celebration of neurodivergent minds in theatre and beyond.
My play Red Basin is often at the forefront of my mind as the world struggles daily to adapt (or ignore) the threat of uncontrolled AI and climate change, I am keen to get the script in front of theatre companies who want to shine a light on these themes, and might also have the tech departments required of this ambitious, multi-media production set in a forest just outside Silicon Valley...
I’m also looking forward to preparing the Tremarnock series to record next year, I might not get to live by the sea anymore but it’s nice to visit Cornwall in a recording studio!

To me, acting and writing are both about scouring for the truth and baring our souls. There is still a lot of truth to be told about being a woman, and I strive to fill a few of the gaps left by playwrights over the centuries.
I come from Cornwall and abandoned the big sea for the big smoke at 17 to train at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, London. Twenty years later (and despite only achieving ‘commended’ on my Dip. Acting) I still earn a living acting, recording voiceovers and writing drama.
Aside from writing and acting I love exploring the outdoors, singing and confronting brutal life lessons from my three kids with as much humour and dignity intact as possible.
