Blondes Prefer Gentlemen
In 2012 I wrote, produced and performed a one woman show called Blondes Prefer Gentlemen about a woman who’s driving force to survive is inspired by the life and work of Marilyn Monroe.
Then I had a child, and then another, and time and resource became too spare and too sticky to continue development. Now one of them is packed off to school each day I have started scribbling again and dearly hope to get back in my corset and back on stage soon. In the meantime I keep Marilyn nearby with a ukulele cabaret show, Sugar Kane Sings.
To the right is the trailer for Blondes Prefer Gentlemen. You can also see production shots of the workshop performance, which took place at the Tristan Bates theatre.
